How can our mid-sized church afford a functional online presence?

Here’s a secret: your church is (probably) already making great content every single week. That’s your Sunday morning sermon. Chances are good that this content is aimed at the audience you want to reach on social media, and, with a bit of editing, can be the backbone of a great outreach strategy.

It also solves one of the more consistent problems I see: whoever is empowered to use social media for your church is reluctant to say bold things because they don’t feel empowered by the church.

By taking your sermon content, and creating a content formula around it, you can empower an office administrator or even a volunteer to create great online content each week, both before and after the Sunday service.

Is that the only content you need? No, but it’s quite a lot.

In fact, if your sermons are well-written, and your live-stream is of a reasonable quality, this can provide most of your online content. It helps quite a lot if you have a reservoir of high-quality photos of your church, and you need to create a pipeline for how to use this material, but those concerns are straightforward if you have good content.

Do churches with a graphic designer on staff benefit from that? Of course! Do churches with a social media manager, and an actual Communications Coordinator benefit from that? Sure. But in churches that are too small to sustain positions like that, it is still possible to connect with your local community.

You just need a good plan, and a good pipeline. Contact us here to talk about ways we can set you up for success!
